Hunting

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe will be undertaking a comprehensive review of on-the-ground conditions across all Tribal lands over the coming months to evaluate future natural resource management actions. To facilitate those efforts, the Tribe has suspended issuing hunting licenses for the time being.  The license suspension affects big game, upland game and non-game hunting activities on all Tribal lands. The Tribe will continue issuing licenses for fishing and waterfowl hunting on Coeur d’Alene Lake.

Chronic Wasting Disease

CDAT Fish & Wildlife staff are actively monitoring for CWD on the Reservation. Samples collected from roadkill and hunter-harvested animals are tested for CWD. We strongly encourage hunters to bring in their animals for testing, or to submit samples themselves.
