Apply for an internship with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe Fish & Wildlife department! Work alongside NOAA scientists, learn about Tribal heritage, and gain valuable skills to advance your career.
During this ten-week program, interns will work alongside scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) and Clemson University assisting in implementation of a suite of constructed and restored wetlands along Reservation streams to build Tribal capacity around drought resilience. Interns will learn Tribal indigenous knowledge, aquatic science, and earn significant experience with on-the-ground wetland restoration.
Internships have the opportunity to continue past 10 weeks and/or preference for return next season
Internship Details
- Program Dates are June 12th – August 14th
- Priority Deadline is April 24th (Apply by this date for priority consideration)
- Final Deadline is May 18th
- Tribal and local community members will be given preference
- 10 Weeks Full-Time
- $6,000 Stipend
Internship Requirements
- Ages 16 to 21
- Must be in high school, currently attending, or planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college
