He has over 27 years\u2019 experience with GIS, most of which was spent working for the Coeur d\u2019Alene Tribe.  He has extensive experience in geographic analysis and cartographic production.<\/p>\n<p>His early work for the Coeur d\u2019Alene Tribe focused on data collection and analysis for the Coeur d\u2019Alene Basin NRDA (Natural Resource Damage Assessment) and worked extensively with the other members of that NRDA, including U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Geologic Survey, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, he has been focusing on the creation and maintenance of a large, enterprise-class Microsoft SQL Server based GIS, and web-based GIS using Esri\u2019s ArcGIS Enterprise for the Coeur d\u2019Alene Tribe.<\/p>\n<p>He has also taught occasional classes for the University of Idaho in GIS analysis and web-based GIS.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, he is semi-retired still working part time remotely for the Tribe from his home in Bozeman, Montana.<\/p>\n<\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n    \t\t\n\t\t\n    \t\t\n\t\t<div class=\"directory_listings__contain\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"image_title_container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"directory_listings_featured-image-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"directory_listings__featured-image basic\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cdatribe-nsn.gov\/gis\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2025\/09\/IMG_8912-150x150.jpg\" \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"directory_listings_content basic\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"directory_listings__title basic\">Aurelie Poncet<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"directory_listings__position basic\">Senior GIS Analyst<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"directory_listings__phone basic\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"directory_listings__email basic\">aurelie.poncet@cdatribe-nsn.gov<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"directory_listings_description\">\n\t\t\t\t<span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t<span><p>Aurelie Poncet is a Senior GIS Analyst\/GIS System Manager with the Coeur d\u2019Alene Tribe, bringing over 15 years of experience in geospatial science. She specializes in analyzing spatio-temporal data to support informed decision-making in agriculture and natural resource management. Her strengths include geospatial data workflows, visualization, database design, and programming.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from France, Aurelie has lived in the United States for more than 10 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and gardening. She has primarily worked across Alaska, but had opportunities to work in Nevada, Arizona, and Ontario, Canada as well. First getting an Associate\u2019s degree at North Idaho College\u2019s Sandpoint-based satellite campus, he then moved to Moscow to complete his education at the University of Idaho. In May of this year, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, a Bachelor of Arts in History, and a Certificate in GIS.
