The Morris K. Udall Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to 80 undergraduate sophomores and juniors pursuing careers related to Tribal Public Policy, Native Health Care, or the Environment (you must be a Native American/Alaska Native to be eligible in the first two categories). Udall Scholars also get to attend the Udall Scholar Orientation and are immediately plugged into a growing and active alumni network. The deadline is March 5, 2012.
Native American Congressional Internship
This ten-week summer internship in Washington, D.C. is for Native American and Alaska Native students who wish to learn more about the federal government and issues affecting Indian Country. The internship is fully funded: the Foundation provides round-trip airfare, housing, per diem for food and incidentals, and a stipend at the close of the program. Undergraduate seniors and juniors, graduate students, law students, and recent graduates are eligible to apply. The deadline is January 31, 2012.

The NIC 2011-2012 general scholarship application is now available. The priority return date for the application is March 14, however, applications will be accepted throughout the year. Scholarships are awarded based on both financial need and criteria unrelated to financial need.

Montana State University Tribal Homelands Scholarship

The Tribal Homelands Scholarship significantly reduces the amount of out-of-state tuition and is available to eligible Native American students who are not Montana residents. Recipients of the Tribal Homelands Scholarship pay the in-state tuition rate: the out-of-state tuition portion is paid by the scholarship.

The Kootenai Electric Trust Offers Scholarships
Up to ten $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Kootenai Eletric Cooperative members or their children who are either seniors in high school or currently enrolled in college or an accredited trade or techinical institution for the fall of 2012. The scholarships are provided by the Kootenai Electric Trust/Operation Round Up. Applications will be considered and winners selected by members of the Kootenai Electric Trust Board of Directors, which disburses Operation Round Up funds contributed by Kootenai Electric members.
All applicants must be received by Febuary 18, 2012. Completed applications should be sent to:
