Family Service Division

What does family service do?

  • Develops referral systems and procedures and coordiante social service referrals and follow-up
  • Provide on-site consultation ot family and community partnerships; i.e. Parent Contact
  • Help over see recruitment, training, and scheduling of parent volunteers
  • Work with the Policy Council, serve as a resouce for the Parent Committee
  • Assist parents in develping and scheduling their own social and developmental activites and encourage and support parents in addressing community needs;i.e. Parent training, Father Involvement activities, Family Fun Nights
  • Home visits with all families to complete IFPA's
  • Keep other agency staff apprised of parent issues
  • Assist staff in designing and implementing a comprehensive, well integrated plan for parent involement that crosses all service areas
  • Recruitment, enrollment of children and families into ECLC

  • Help parents bring concerns to the program and advocate for their child
  • Connect your family to information/people to meet your needs
  • Support for the family, example: IEP's, IFPA's, court appointments, custody...ect
  • Provide information about transportation
  • Assure quality care for your family
  • Provide information about childcare in the area
  • Provide information about college or GED programs and Federal grants/scholarships
  • And and all questions, concerns or needs for your family
