Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program (FRTEP)
The FRTEP Extension - Coeur d'Alene Reservation program has been in existence
for five years, and is housed within the Tribe's Natural Resources department.
The Extension Educator has a split appointment, covering program areas in
Community Development, Family and Youth Development, and Agriculture and Natural
Resources. The program collaborates with many Tribal and area programs,
including the Coeur d'Alene Tribe's Career Renewal and TANF programs, the Tribal
Wellness Center's Youth Activities programs, the School District, Coeur d'Alene
Tribal Planning and Education departments, local government, and community-based
