Mission Statement
The mission of Information Technology is to provide innovative and accessible
technical solutions in computing, media and communication services to enable the
Coeur d’Alene Tribe to effectively meet their goals as a learning community and
to preserve tribal culture.

The Information Technology Department consists of three programs:
IT Services
Red Spectrum Communications
Geographic Information System (G.I.S.)
The I.T. Department is responsible for maintaining all computer systems within
the tribal goverenment, as well as impementing network security and Tribal
communications.
RezKast is a free Native American socal networking site that also provides free video and photo hosting service allowing users to view, upload and share media.
RezKast is owned and
maintained by the Coeur d'Alene Tribe's IT Department.
Current Projects 2010- 2011
Fiber to the Home Project:
FTTHP has been awarded $12.5 million in funding from the US Department of Agriculture to construct a broadband network that will provide high-speed internet access for the rural communities and surrounding areas on the reservation. For more information check FTTHP's home page at

KWIS 88.3 FM
The Coeur d’Alene Tribe's own radio station, KWIS, is a non-commercial
educational public radio station. KWIS was awarded grants from the Public
Telecommunications Facilities Program and the Inland Northwest Community
Foundation. The KWIS studios are located in the Tribe’s Community Technology
Center at 111 N. 8
th Street in Plummer, Idaho. For more
