The Health section provides information and resources useful for orienting new employees, expanding professional development, and assisting Head Start health, nutrition, and disabilities staff in understanding the critical role that comprehensive well-child health care plays in creating a positive learning environment. You will find a variety of resources related to the initial and ongoing assessment of a child’s health status and developmental needs. In addition, important information is presented on injury prevention and for promoting wellness through safe and healthy practices.

Resources in the Infants and Toddlers area cover all aspects of promoting healthy development in children from birth to three years of age, as well as ensuring child health and safety, working with infants and toddlers with disabilities, and partnering with families.
